Tameside Whit Friday

For the 20th time in 21 years Foden’s emerged as convincing overall winners at this year’s Tameside Whit Friday marches. Commenting on the band’s victory a spokesperson for Foden’s made it clear that the band did not take the success for granted and had thoroughly enjoyed the experience: “So that's Whit Friday over & out for another year - twelve villages completed! It was another highly successful night for the band with eight 1st places, two 2nd places, one 3rd place and most amazingly a deportment prize! Thanks as always to the huge teams of volunteers who give up their time every year to host the events before collaborating the results - often into the early hours of the morning (and beyond!) We're now looking forward to next year's event on Friday 13th June!”
