Fairy tale Premiere for Broxburn & Livingston

After holding a fairy tale writing competition in which the prize was to have the winning story turned into a musical performance, Broxburn & Livingston is to premiere its performance of The Unknown Princess at its Spring Concert later this month. Competition winner Anaaya Adnan will see her story commissioned into the brand new piece of music by composer Iain Mundy at the concert at the Strathbrook Centre, Broxburn, on Sunday 19 May.

Admission to the event, which starts at 3.30pm, is free. “The concert will be a fantastic opportunity to hear this work for the first time, while supporting Broxburn & Livingston and our Future Brass,” said the band’s Peter McSherry. “We will also be raising funds for our National Championships campaign in Cheltenham this September, following our 2nd place result at the Scottish Championships, which hopefully will have a ‘happily ever after’ ending!”
