Cory to lead workshops in Berkshire

Berkshire Music Trust will welcome players from Cory Band to work with their young brass students in a band workshop day on Sunday the 4th of February. The event will be held at Ranelagh School in Bracknell (RG12 9DA) beginning at 10.00am. MD Philip Harper and principal players Tom Hutchinson, Ailsa Russell and Rob Nicholson will work with players from anywhere around the country who wish to attend.

There will be two youth bands on the day, one for players approximately Grades 3-5, and the other for players who are Grade 6 standard or above. The course will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm and costs £30. The event is sponsored by Besson, and there will be a Prozone trade stand open on the day for delegates to try new instruments.

A spokesperson for the project explained, “This is a brilliant opportunity to be inspired in your playing. So, if you know of any young brass player (18 and under and Grade 3+) who would benefit from this opportunity why not come along an enjoy a great experience."

Closing date to sign up is Friday 2nd February.
