Eagley plays live for Vernon Kay

Eagley Band and MD Chris Wormald have been performing in the Bolton Wanderers Stadium at the invitation of the Zoe Ball BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show for Children in Need.

The band was contacted in confidence some weeks ago and asked to have a number of specific pieces, fanfares and jingles arranged to precise timings for the November 17th 'live' broadcast to welcome home local celebrity Vernon Kay from his 'ultra ultra' marathon.

Chris Wormald commented, "It has been a huge honour for us all at Eagley to have been chosen to perform complete pieces and be interviewed 'live' for over 7 million listeners and have band members socialise with artists and presenters from Emeli Sande and Zoe Ball to Vernon Kay, the Gladiator Steel and many more."

Vernon Kay's four day 'ultra ultra' marathon of 116 miles from Leicester to Bolton raised more than £5 million.
