Black Dyke marks Remembrance

Whilst bands across the UK are unable to perform as part of Remembrance Services, Black Dyke Band and Canon Wendy Wilby present a virtual Remembrance Service for all to enjoy.

Tune in today, Sunday 8th November 2020, at 12 noon, to hear a programme of music that will include Dambuster’s March, the Last Post and Reveille, and the evocative Nimrod.

Join Black Dyke in honouring the servicemen and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

Lest we forget.

Six A Cappella Studies by Peter Graham

Six A Cappella Studies were written during the Covid-19 crisis as practice material for brass players. The composer states: "As a source/starting point I’ve used motifs from some of my test-pieces for brass band and followed where instinct led." The studies can be performed by any brass instrument of the same pitch and the sheet music is available to download free of charge by clicking on the study title. The performances given by the musicians in the videos below are the pemière recordings, made at the request of the composer.

No. 2 - A Time for Love (From The Essence of Time) - Sheona White (Tenor Horn)
