Brass in Concert line-up announced
The Brass in Concert management team has announced the line-up for this year's Brass in Concert Championships at Sage Gateshead on 19 November.
Foden’s Band have reluctantly withdrawn from this year’s Championship, following a recent fire that destroyed their bandroom. However, Hammonds Saltaire Band will now appear at this year's event in place of Foden's.
On behalf of Brass in Concert, John Woods commented: “We have been in contact with Foden’s to offer our sympathy and support in light of the recent fire. We join the rest of the banding community in wishing the band well as it recovers from such a devastating setback and look forward to welcoming it back to Sage Gateshead in future years. We are pleased to announce that Hammonds Saltaire Band (Morgan Griffiths) has agreed to replace Foden’s at this year’s contest.”
