Shrewsbury entertains for Royal Visit

Shrewsbury Brass Band, led by conductor Steve Pritchard-Jones recently provided the musical entertainment to a visit by Her Majesty The Queen Consort during her visit to the town.

The band delighted the waiting crowds with a light varied selection of music, including ‘Band of Brothers’, ‘Gold Crest March’, ‘The Middy’, ‘Tom Jones in Concert’, ‘Ticket to Ride’, ‘Haven't Met You Yet’, ‘Dam Busters’, ‘Mack the Knife’, ‘Ashokan Farewell’ and ‘Dances with Wolves’. The band was then introduced to Her Royal Highness, with the MD stating, “It was an immense honour to contribute to such a prestigious occasion and engage in conversation with Her Royal Highness.”
