Tuba Festival deadline Approaches

The deadline for applications to attend the Scottish International Tuba Festival is on Sunday (31 March). The event from 21 to 27 July at St Mary's Music School, Edinburgh, is an intensive 7-day course which will deep dive into the nuts and bolts of becoming a successful professional tubist, looking at the many different ways of becoming an artist, focusing on orchestral performance, solo performance, pedagogy and innovation.

The purpose of the festival is to help educate aspiring tuba players on new ways of thinking about their craft, to connect players from different backgrounds who will help each other learn, and to promote the tuba by engaging with the wider community in unique performances and venues. The ultimate goal of the course is to create positive career pathways in a variety of genres, styles, and directions, providing support and advice along the way to help participants reach their goals.
