Haverhill Silver Band appoints Associate MD
HSB has announced the appointment of Nathan Waterman as Associate Musical Director. Nathan joins the other members of the artistic direction team: Musical Director Paul Filby and Associate Musical Director Matt Brown. The HSB Chairman David Stevens said, “having a strong musical director team is essential for the future development of the band and we are fortunate to have these experienced and highly competent musicians to work with.”
Speaking about the appointment MD Paul Filby said. “Matt and I have known Nathan for some time, and we are extremely pleased that Nathan, a musician of known high quality, has agreed to join us. We all look forward to our future collaboration and partnership as HSB continues to develop.”
Nathan will of course continue in his role at Thrapston Town Band, just as Paul and Matt continue in their other musical activities when they are not working with HSB. The band is currently preparing for concerts and their appearance at the London and Southern Counties regional contest, where Paul Filby will direct them. The band will then be concentrating on concerts, the Spring Festival and Whit Friday, in which Matt Brown will conduct them. Nathan’s first public appearances with HSB will be announced in due course.
