Lottery boost for Forfar Instrumental concert

Forfar Instrumental Band’s annual concert and awards ceremony last night (21 October) was a time for extra celebration as the band has just been granted £9000 by the National Lottery Community Fund. The concert at the East and Old Parish Church in Forfar, also featured the debut appearance of the Forfar Future Brass.

Commenting on the award a spokesperson for the band stated, “The Lottery award will be of huge benefit to the band as it will ensure it can continue its activities as a community brass band and will help to fund its young members’ attendance at the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland (NYBBS) summer school.”
