Nigel Boddice remembered in RCS Concert

Celebrated brass lecturer, tutor, trumpet player and conductor Nigel Boddice MBE, who passed away a year ago, will be remembered at a concert at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland next Friday 20th October.

The first RCS Wind Orchestra concert of the new term, which starts at 6pm, is warmly dedicated to the legendary teacher and friend of the Scottish Brass Band Association.

‘Strictly...Mr Boddice’ contains music inspired by one of his passions in life, the TV programme Strictly Come Dancing, along with two works from Percy Grainger, whose music he greatly admired.

Mark Reynolds, newly appointed lecturer in brass, will join student conductors for a programme filled with dance and memories of a great man and much-missed colleague.

Tickets can be obtained from the RCS box office: https://www.rcs.ac.uk/box-office/event/wind-orchestra-strictly-mr-boddice-374006/n.
