Fife Festival gears up for Entertainment

The Fife Brass Band Festival will take place in the Lochgelly Centre, Lochgelly, next Saturday (22 April), starting at 9.30am. Adjudicator Anne Crookston will listen to 13 bands, representing all contesting sections, playing an own-choice entertainment programme, which will include a solo item, providing an exciting day of varied music. Entertainment judges Jill Gillespie and Madeleine Baker will decide on the most entertaining band. Compere for the day this year is Susan Chown.

There will be trophies plus voucher for Best Band in each section, and trophies plus cheque for bands placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall. There will also be a prize for best soloist.

The results are expected around 5.00pm. There will be a short concert by Kirkintilloch Youth Band while the results are being prepared. Tickets are priced at £10/£6 and are valid all day.
