2022 Belgian National Championships

Festival Brass are the winners of the Championship Section at the Belgian National Championships in Heist-op-den-Berg, under MD Steven Verhaert. Winning both the set-work, 'The World Rejoicing' by Edward Gregson and their own-choice selection of 'A Gabrieli Fantasy' later in the afternoon, the victory was undisputable with the defending champion Brassband Willebroek having to be content with second place. Noordlimburgse Brassband completed the podium postions in third place. In addition to the overall title honours, and the 'Best Performance of the Set-Work' prize, their excellent percussion team took the 'Best Percussion' award on the set-work. Festival Brass will now represent the nation at the 2023 European Championships in Malmo.

Section honours went to BB de Grensbewoners Smeermaas conducted by Danny Aerden in the first section with Brass Band Panta Rhei winning the second section.
