Leicester BBA Open
Adjudicators Alan Morrison, Nicholas Garman, Martin Heartfield and Sam Fisher (together with trainees Rob Burnett and Stuart Gray) were treated to a day of competitive action at the Leicestershire BBA Open last weekend. The Championship spoils went to Brunel Brass, who performed Peter Graham’s ‘Essence of Time’, under the direction of MD Daniel Hall. The reigning champions, Ratby Co-operative were beaten into second place in spite of an ambitious performance of ‘Titan’s Progress’ by Herman Pallhuber. Enderby completed the podium places with Philip Wilby’s ‘Paganini Variations’.
