Learn to Play Day

Music for All’s flagship event returns on the 8 & 9 October, with venues from across the UK opening their doors to offer free taster music lessons. Their aim is to reach all those interested – whether you’re a newbie picking up an instrument for the first time, or would like to re-ignite your interest and skill.

On the Music for All website you can find an interactive map to find lessons nearby, as well as all the information you need to know about which instruments you can try and how to book your slot. Not only can you dip into learning a new brass instrument – there’s also still time for your band to register to host lessons. You need three things to be a venue host: teaching resources, instruments and a venue. Becoming a host venue is the perfect opportunity to welcome new people into your banding community, raise your profile, advocate the life changing benefits of learning an instrument, and make new connections.

Music for All will provide all the support and guidance you need, including an exclusive link to the LTP Venue Information page where you can find a whole host of hints, tips and resources to help plan your event. In addition to this, they’ll send you a promotional pack that includes posters, balloons and bunting to jazz up your space for the event.
