Double Delight for Cory

Following a hectic schedule last week which included a trip to Innsbruck and an appearance at the Welsh Proms in St David’s Hall, Cory spent Sunday afternoon celebrating two major achievements for the band. Firstly, the official presentation of The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service took place with Dr Dale Cartwright, Deputy Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan recognising the band’s fantastic achievements as he presented the award.

The afternoon had double significance as it marked the official opening of Cory’s new rehearsal facility and allowed the band the opportunity to recognise the individuals and organisations involved in making it possible. A spokesperson for the event stated, “Thanks go to our wonderful supporter Mr Ken Price who cut the ribbon to officially open the new Ty Cory. It was lovely to see so many friends and supporters attend to see our new home and enjoy the band performing.”
