New format for Fife

Next Saturday (23rd April) sees the return of the Fife Brass Band Festival to the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline. It will be a new-look entertainment contest with a music adjudicator Andrew Duncan and entertainment judge Susan Chown listening to bands over the course of the day, starting at 9.30am.

Twelve bands have registered (down from 16 entries because of Covid) and they will be competing for prizes for music performance, and a separate award for the most entertaining band. Results are expected around 4.30pm. There will be a lunchtime concert by Clackmannan District Youth and Development Band, starting at approximately 12.40pm.

Ticket prices are £10 and £6 concession, payable on the day from the ticket desk. Further information about the festival is available from Anne McInnes at annemcinnes27@outlook.com
