Howell bids Farewell to Cory

Cory's regular concert in Bradford on Avon last weekend marked the last official appearance of the band’s principal Eb tuba player Simon Howell. Simon has enjoyed a hugely successful 15-year stint with the World’s number 1 ranked band, performing all over the globe and winning everything there is to win. His successes include: 5 British Opens victories, 4 National Championships successes, 6 European Championships wins, 8 Brass in Concert titles and 8 Welsh Area victories amongst others. 

Simon was presented with a framed photograph outlining his achievements with the band, as well as a personal messages from M.D. Philip his fellow Cory players. Commenting on social media the band thanked Simon for his dedicated service stating, “His contribution on and off the stage has been immeasurable without doubt. An incredible musician, brilliant bandsman and all round great guy. We’re all going to miss you.” Sharing the post Simon bid Cory a fond farewell responding with, “Thanks for all your kind messages. It’s been an amazing journey, with a band full of incredible people.”
