SBBA Learning Festival Workshops

 

A Learning Festival will follow completion of business at the Scottish Brass Band Association’s online AGM on Sunday 30 January. The opening workshop at 11.30am is entitled ‘What Makes Banding Work - Reasons For Optimism’ and it features SBBA patron and renowned trumpet soloist John Wallace, who recently received the Queen’s Medal for Music, sharing his passion for all things brass. At 12.30pm there will be a workshop entitled ‘I've been a volunteer all this time, how come nobody told me?’ featuring Alan Stevenson, CEO of Volunteer Scotland, talking about why many of us volunteer regularly and how some of us volunteer and don’t even realise it! At 1.30pm the final workshop will be for new and aspiring conductors entitled ‘Picking up the baton’, led by popular Scottish musical directors Gareth Bowman and Stuart Black. Registration for this session is via Eventbrite here
