Midlands challenge to find Regional Contest Venue    

The Civic Hall in Bedworth has cancelled the booking for the 2022 Midlands Regional Competition, leaving the organising committee facing a significant challenge in finding a new venue to host the 2022 Area Championships. 

Regional Secretary Lesley Bentley explained that the council owned venue has been used as a Covid vaccination centre for Warwickshire, and will continue to be repurposed until the end of March 2022. After speaking with the Manager of the Civic Hall Lesley stated, “It isn't clear what the future holds, and reverting the venue back to a hall able to host a contest would take around two months. Although this is a very frustrating situation, we are fully supportive of the need to put people's health first.”
