Big Brass Fest!

Join BBE and NYMAZ for two days of exciting interactive brass ensemble workshops, open to all standards of player. The event will be taking place from 10AM - 4PM on 26th and 27th October in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. Join brass players from all over the county to explore different styles of brass playing, alongside professional players, learn new skills, refine your technique and take part in exciting workshops. 

Enjoy the opportunity to perform and learn alongside Brass ensembles Back Chat Brass and Bollywood Brass band the styles, techniques and fun behind their specialist genres of New Orleans Street Brass and Indian Brass music. On top of this you will get to experience sectionals and workshops facilitated by Trombonist John Barber and be working alongside composer Supriya Nagarajan from Manasamitra who has been working in collaboration with our young brass band participants to create this new and exciting fusion piece which will have its world premiere performance at the celebration concert closing the Big Brass Fest on the evening of Wednesday 27 October.

If you are 10-18 years old, play brass (beginners included) then we would love for you to take part in the new musical adventure. Places cost just £5 + £0.98 booking fee and can be booked via the Eventbrite page.
