Hammonds Band announce UK Premier of Wilfred Heaton work

 

Hammonds band have announced their program for the forthcoming BrassPass Brassfestival in Halifax. The program includes the UK Premier of the Wilfred Heaton work ‘Pilgrim Variations’ brilliantly arranged by Paul Hindmarsh. Hammonds are delighted that Paul Hindmarsh will be attending the festival and will personally introduce ‘Pilgrim Variations’.

Also, on the program is ‘HMS Trinidad’ March by George Lloyd, Eric Ball’s classic tone poem ‘Resurgam’ and Morgan Griffiths’ arrangement of Dvorak’s Finale from the ‘New World’ Symphony. Hammonds’ featured soloist is Solo Horn player Zoe Wright, who will play Sandy Smith’s arrangement of the traditional Scottish folksong ‘The Rowan Tree’.
