Morecambe and Morecambe!

Photographer Lorne Campbell was asked to produce an uplifting picture on behalf of the National Lottery, celebrating its 27th anniversary, which began in November 1994.

Carol Porter, flugel horn with Morecambe Band in Lancashire was chosen to pose with the statue of the iconic entertainer, Eric Morecambe, on the promenade of the seaside town. Morecambe Band wasone of the first projects to receive funding from the lottery, with many more all over the country since benefitting from support.
