Isolation Test Piece

Brass Fest UK has launched another isolation project, this time the ambitious ‘Neverland’ from the pen of Christopher Bond that was used for the 2020 Regional Championships.

Commenting on the project Rob Tomkins states, “Isolation Test Piece' will be a bit different from the previous projects, it will be a project to push players to improve on their own performance to give us a final video that is of a good standard and participants feel they have improved as players by taking part. It will still be fun, but we will all work together to make the best performance.

The timeline for this is extended from the norm as this is a far bigger project than we have attempted before. Registration is open until Sunday 10th January, once I have all the registrations I will send out music and the click track, I will also send out a detailed breakdown of the piece for you all to follow when you are practicing and recording.

The piece will be broken down into sections and we will work on each section at a time. The process will start on the 17th January when players can start sending in the opening section of the piece and will receive back from me thoughts on what they have submitted, I will look to send feedback within a few days of receiving your recording so you are able to keep going.

You can register to take part in the project using the following link: https://www.brassfestuk.com/isolation-test---registration
