Foden’s Solo Contest Finalists Announced

 

In 2010 Foden's launched their inaugural 'Solo and Quartet Contest' which has grown to become the largest event of its kind in the UK. Sadly, due to Covid, its 10th Anniversary event has been moved online. Over the past month, 70 entries have been uploaded to the band’s Facebook page from all over the World, being viewed 140,000 times over four different categories. Due to the number of entries four of the band’s Principal players shortlisted each section to five finalists:

Foden's is still welcoming entries for the Ensemble (4 to 10 players) and Percussion sections with a deadline of the 28th October. Further details can be obtained via darren@fodensband.co.uk. The adjudicators for these sections are Michael Fowles and Mark Landon.   

The Grand Final will be streamed on the 30th October via www.youtube.com/fodensband1900  at 7pm. The adjudicators from the preliminary round will be joined by Bramwell Tovey, David Childs, Russell Gray and Simone Rebello with the broadcast hosted by Iwan Fox.
