Willebroek Finalists Revealed
The 26 finalists competing in the ‘Over 19’ category of the Willebroek Solo Championships has been announced. A spokesperson for the event stated, “We’ve got a very strong line-up with competitors from all over Europe. Congratulations to all players who are selected!” The band now look forward to receiving as many entries in the Under 19 category (closing date October 22nd.
The live-streamed final will take place on November 22nd at the Municipal Theater of Willebroek and can be viewed online via live stream. The finalists will be competing for a significant prize fund with the a first prize that includes the Frans Violet Trophy, 1000 Euros, 600 Euro voucher for Buffet Crampon and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with Brassband Willebroek. The adjudicators for the event are: Luc Vertommen (11 to 14 years old, From 19 years old), Bastien Baumet (11 to 14 years old, From 19 years old), Arthur Vanderhoeft (Up to and including 10 years old, 15 to 18 years old) and Kristien Schuurmans (Up to and including 10 years old, 15 to 18 years old). The audience will also get the chance to vote online during the live-stream of the ‘Over 19’ category. The player receiving the most votes during the event will win an audience prize of 250 Euros.
