German National Youth Band Postponed

The 2020 German National Youth Band Course been cancelled owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. However, the Deutsche Jugend Brass Band event will go ahead on the weekend of the 14th to 17th October 2021.

Commenting on the decision a spokesperson from the Deutsche Brass Band Verband stated, “The current developments affecting all cultural events in Germany from Coronavirus means that we have had to take this decision. Slowing down the spread of the virus and protecting the population remain a top priority. For this reason and after intensive consultations, main sponsor, Yamaha and the Deutsche Brass Band Verband as the responsible body of the event have jointly decided to cancel the working phase of the Deutsche Jugend Brass Band 2020. The planning and the organisation of our project, which was launched successfully in 2019, is not realisable under these conditions especially in view of our responsibility towards our participants and lecturers.”
