Thornton to lead Brass Band Weekend

Grimethorpe Colliery Band MD and renowned euphonium soloist David Thornton and professional musicians Andy Kershaw (tuba) and Martyn Grisdale (cornet) are looking forward to leading a brass band weekend in February next year. The weekend will take place at Higham Hall in Cockermouth in Cumbria depending on what the COVID-19 regulations and guidance will be at the time. It is hoped that on 19th-21st February the venue will be able to accommodate delegates for what they call, "a serious, yet relaxed weekend for brass band players to rehearse and perform popular, and perhaps lesser-known, brass band repertoire."
