Archibald departs Regency Brass

Regent Brass, based in London, has announced that Paul Archibald is to relinquish his role as Musical Director, after six years to take up a teaching position in Thailand. The respected trumpet player will still maintain strong links with the band, taking up the new position of Musical Director Emeritus.

Band Chairman, Neil Rossiter stated, "We would like to thank Paul for his commitment and dedication. He has had a big influence on the development of Regent Brass and we look forward to continuing the fruitful relationship in the future."

In response, Paul commented, "The six years I have spent as Musical Director have been a real highlight. The members are a passionate and committed group of musicians and, with the residency at DLD College in Westminster and the recent partnership with the Geneva Group now in place, the future looks bright. I would like to thank the management and players for their support and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success in my new role as Musical Director Emeritus."

Whilst the band is still searching for a permanent replacement, Andy Kershaw has been appointed interim Musical Director to the end of 2020.
