Tredegar Supports NHS

Tredegar Town Band has recently released their own version of Matt Lucas’ ‘smash’ hit ‘Thank You Baked Potato’. The project was released in collaboration with the comedian and all proceeds will go directly to support the Feed NHS campaign. The aim of the campaign is to raise two million pounds for the University of London College Hospital Charity in order to ensure that workers for the NHS have access to at least one hot meal per day.

The band released the video with the following comment: “Huge thanks to Matt Lucas, Paul Saggers for the wonderful arrangement and Mango Design for the (s)mashing video. Aside from all the fun, this is a really worthwhile charity which is so important to us all.”

Matt Lucas was also moved to tweet the following statement on his own Twitter feed: “How lovely it was to perform ‘Thank You Baked Potato’ with Tredegar Band.” Tredegar’s unique take on the song can be viewed on their facebook page or via Matt Lucas’ YouTube channel using the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW2YvlBYhD0
