Johnson returns to Rothwell

Rothwell Temperance has announced the signing of Neil Johnson as their new solo euphonium player. He will begin the role as soon as possible and takes over from Dan Morgan who is relocating to Bristol with his girlfriend.

Musical Director Dave Roberts commented, "We would all like to thank Dan for five wonderful years of commitment and outstanding playing — it's been a pleasure to work with him. We wish him all the very best for the future. We're also delighted to welcome back Neil to the solo euphonium seat, as when Dan spoke to me about his relocation we both agreed that Neil was the ideal replacement."

Neil stated, "I'm overjoyed to return in fact, I'm looking forward to working with not only a group of extremely talented musicians, but lovely people. Dan is a superb player and terrific bandsman, and I know I have big shoes to fill, but I'm looking forward to the challenge and I can't wait to get stuck in when rehearsals restart."
