NYBB Show of Support

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain calls on former or current players to ‘Play for Carers’ The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (NYBBGB) and the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain (NCBBGB) are calling on former and current members of both bands to play in front of their houses at 8pm (today) to support the NHS and key workers.

The NYBBGB – which was due to be holding its annual Easter course this week - is hoping its members and its alumni will perform the patriotic ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ as a musical accompaniment to the traditional weekly Clap for Carers held in honour of the NHS, as well all key workers including NHS staff, supermarket workers and teachers.

Alun Williams, the band’s Interim Administrator, said: “We want to celebrate all healthcare workers, emergency services, armed services, delivery drivers, shop workers, teachers, waste collectors, manufacturers, postal workers, cleaners, vets, engineers and all those who are out there making an unbelievable difference to our lives in these challenging times. We would therefore urge as many people as possible to perform Land of Hope and Glory at the designated time.”

Send a video of yourself playing Land of Hope and Glory and performances will be uploaded to the band’s website as a musical tribute to our NHS heroes via this link - https://nybbgb.com/play-for-nhs-heroes.html  Alternatively, share a link via Twitter to @nybbgb and add the link #NHSheroes #PlayForOurNHSHeroes
