Vollam to feature with NYCB

The National Youth Concert Band is holding its 2020 course during the Easter break, with the week concluding with a concert on Saturday 11th April at the Elgar Hall at Birmingham University. The Band will be led by Musical Director Jonathan Parkes and will feature the acclaimed BBC Symphony Orchestra trombonist, Helen Vollam as Guest Soloist.
 
Helen will be performing an exciting work entitled, 'Kirkfield' by Grant Kirkhope with the programme also featuring the world premiere of 'Now You Can Believe' by Los Angeles based composer Anne Chmelewsky.
 
Commenting on the forthcoming course Jonathan outlined,  "The line-up of tutors is brilliant, with players from both the brass band and orchestral worlds, and the course offers a great cross-over opportunity for players."
