Welsh Open Brass Band Entertainment Championships

Whilst storm Dennis was wreaking havoc around the country, nine bands still braved it to compete at the Pavilion in Porthcawl for the Welsh Brass Band Entertainment Championships. The fair wind was blowing in Filton Concert’s direction with adjudicator Paul Holland and entertainment adjudicator David Francis placing them one point ahead of Welsh rivals, City of Cardiff (M1). Although Enderby only managed third place, again by a margin of just one point, the band was still in celebratory mood having won the special award of an invitation to compete at the 2020 Spring Festival Senior Trophy.
