North of England Regional Championships

The North of England Brass Band Championships will celebrate its 75th anniversary this year with a fresh new look. Regional Contest Secretary Tony Griffiths explained the new branding with a working partnership created by local company Encore Design & Publicity: "We're always looking at ways to improve our regional contest as a committee and the 75th year was the perfect time to give the event a fresh new look for the new decade. We've worked with Jo Behan of Encore Design & Publicity to help us to develop our new branding and we're excited to go into 2020 with the new look.”
 
The Championships will see the Second, Fourth and First Sections held on Saturday 14th March with Sections Three and Championship the following day. The panel of adjudicators has been announced as:
 
Championship Section: Sheona Wade and David Hirst
First Section: Sandy Smith and Sam Fisher
Second Section: Sandy Smith and Sheona Wade
Third Section: Sam Fisher and Sarah Groarke Booth
Fourth Section: Sarah Groarke Booth and Alan Bourne
