Elland Silver Youth set for Silver Anniversary
Elland Silver Youth Band is set to celebrate its 25th Anniversary with a special concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 27th June, where they hope as many former members will join them to perform in a spectacular massed band finale.
From a humble start the band is now regarded as one of the country's leading youth brass bands and the multi-award winning youth section has now grown to include a Starter Band, Training Band and HIT IT Percussion club, as well as an Adult Community Band, providing weekly tuition to over one hundred musicians of all ages.
Musical Director, Samantha Harrison stated, "I can't quite believe what we've achieved over the years. It all started with just a small group of children learning 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star', so who'd have thought we would be where we are today! It will be wonderful if as many former players can join us."
Any former members interested in taking part are asked to contact secretary Kathleen Harrison on 01484 717126 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
