Gwent Youth to celebrate 60th birthday in Style

The Greater Gwent Youth Band's 60th anniversary celebrations are all set to showcase a wealth of current and former talent, with special guests and fantastic music on display. The concert will take place at Rougemont School on Saturday 4th January at 3pm, followed by an alumni black-tie dinner.
 
Conductors Sean O’Neill and Gareth Ritter will lead the Youth band through their programme including two specially commissioned works by composer and GGYBB alumnus Daniel Bickerton. The current band will also be joined by two of its most illustrious alumni, Dr Robert Childs and David Childs, who will perform as guest soloists. 
 
The Greater Gwent Intermediate Band will also feature as part of the concert along with a special re-union band of over 60 past members of the band, led by former Head of Service Alun F Williams.
