Laganvale win the North of Ireland Championships

Congratulations to Laganvale Metal Technology, the winners at the 102nd North of Ireland Championship in Armagh on the weekend. Directed by Keith Anderson, the band performed Edward Gregson's 'Connotations' to take the Championship Section title. The band will also now be invited to compete in the Challenge Section of the 2021 European Brass Band Championships in Malmo.
 
1st Old Boys proved tough competitors and were awarded the runner-up spot and best instrumentalist prize for cornetist Louise Bell, with Strabane Brass finishing in third place. Lourdes Brass, Dynamic Brass, Poyntzpass Silver, 1st Larne Old Boys and 1st Old Boys Junior Band also deserve plaudits for winning their respective sections. 1st Old Boy Juniors will also receive an invitation to compete at the Malmo European Championships.
