Sheffield Brass Network presents Free Event
The Sheffield Brass Network will be hosting a free event for bands in their region to get help with raising their media profile and boosting audience links.
The initiative will be held on Wednesday 25th September, which will be open to any brass band, brass ensemble, or brass or percussion player resident or based in the Sheffield City region including: Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, and Bassetlaw.
The evening event will begin at 7pm with series of experienced speakers including BBE, Joy Newbold, Alex Burns and Dr. Sarah Price presenting information on how to provide more effective contact with the media and audiences.
A spokesperson for the event explained, "There will be open networking opportunities and refreshments until 7.30pm and brief information about the Sheffield Youth Brass Collective and current links with the local Sheffield City Region Music Hubs.
“A presentation will be made by Brass Bands England who will provide valuable general information, as well as making sure people know about their own upcoming Brass Band Conference. Special thanks to SoundBytes Media for again sponsoring this event and allowing the Sheffield Brass Network to meet in The Foundry Studios main commercial live room where bands such as the legendary Grimethorpe Colliery Band have recently been recording.”
