Black Dyke Band of the Year Open Rehearsal

Black Dyke will showcase its BrassPass UK Band of the Year programme during an open rehearsal this Thursday, under the direction of Professor Nicholas Childs. Those in attendance will be treated to a preview of ‘A Brighter Light’ by Philip Wilby, two movements from Peter Graham’s new ‘Baritone Concerto’ and new test piece, ‘Heroes for Brass and Percussion’by Bruce Broughton.

 
The event takes place at Morley Town Hall, Leeds on Thursday 20th June. Admission is free and doors open at 7.30pm with the rehearsal starting promptly at 8.00pm. The band will also be performing at the Gala Concert in Manchester's Stoller Hall on Saturday 22nd June with euphonium virtuoso David Childs.
