NYBBGB set for a sizzling Summer

Only a few short weeks after the hugely successful Easter Course under the Direction of Mark David, the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is delighted to announce its summer course details. Artistic Director, Bramwell Tovey will return to the helm, at Repton School, for what promises to be a fantastic week with trombone virtuoso, Carol Jarvis as the guest soloist.
 
Carol needs little introduction to brass aficionados, she is renowned for her role as professor of music at Trinity Laban and has enjoyed a fabulously varied performing career. She has recorded and toured with Sting, Queen, Rod Stewart, Amy Winehouse, MUSE, James Bay, Jess Glynne and Ellie Goulding as well as performing as Guest Principal with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Halle Orchestra. Carol is the former President of the British Trombone Society and in 1917 was appointed President of the International Trombone Festival. She is also a founding member of the illustrious all female Bones Apart Trombone Quartet and is a Michael Rath Trombone Artist.
