2019 IABCB National Championships

The Irish Association of Brass & Concert Bands National Band Championships, held recently held at Artane School of Music in Dublin was won by Drogheda Brass. The band gave excellent performances of both the set test 'Episodes for Brass' by Gareth Churcher, and their own-choice 'The Raid' by Oliver Waespi, under the skillful direction of Michael Maher.

The top prize in Section 2 was claimed by 1st Old Boys Youth led by Wesley Thompson. There was much to commend in their performances of Rodney Newton’s ‘World Tour’ and ‘The Graces of Love’ by Oliver Waespi. Stedfast Shoes were the only entrant in Section 3, but gave a great account of themselves.
