Results: 2019 Yorkshire Regional Championships

The area competitions continued this weekend in the grand setting of Huddersfield Town Hall. Congratulations go to Brighouse and Rastrick on winning the Yorkshire Regional Championships. Although already pre-qualified, Brighouse and their MD David Thornton did not rest on their laurels and produced a great performance Ray Steadman-Allen’s ‘Seascapes’from a lucky number 7 draw. Joining them for the trip to the Royal Albert Hall in October are runners-up Grimethorpe Colliery, 3rdplaced Carlton Main Frickley Colliery and pre-qualified Black Dyke, who against popular predictions was awarded 6thplace.

Victories in the lower sections were awarded to Hatfield & Askern Colliery, South Yorkshire Police, Kippax and Maltby Miners in the First to Fourth Sections respectively. A list of the full results can be viewed below with further details to follow in the next issue of BBW.
