European Composers’ deadline approaching

The European Brass Band Association has announced that the closing date to submit applications for its 7th Composers Competition to be held as part of the 42nd European Championships in Montreux in Switzerland next year is the 1st January 2019.
Eligible
 
Composers are invited to submit an original composition for brass band of up to a maximum of 12 minutes in length. Applicants must be native to or resident in an EBBA member country and born on or after 1st January 1984. Generous prize money is available as well as support for future commissions or further study.
 
The competition will consist of one preliminary round and a final, which will take place on the 26th April at the Stravinsky Hall in Montreux, with compositions being performed by a leading Swiss brass band.
