BrassFestUK Deadline Fast Approaches

If you wish to enter the BrassFestUK Entertainment Contest you  only have until 30th September to contact organiser Rob Tompkins (see below for details).
The contest is being adjudicated by Jayne Murrill, Samantha Harrison and Alan Duguid recording, with bands asked to record a 20-minute programme to send for consideration.

The entry is divided into three sections:
Development (all players playing less than 2 years)
Youth (all players under 19 at the 30th September)
Training (all other unregistered bands)

Organiser Rob Tompkins commented: "The advantage to the bands for a contest like this is that they can pick when to record, and which pieces to re-do if the performance can be improved. There is no cost involved apart from the £15 entry fee per band.
The adjudicators want to hear the bands at their best, so recording in the comfort of their own bandroom will help players that may otherwise be nervous and gives all the bands a chance to really show what they can do."

The closing date is 30th September with recording to be sent in by 14th October. The winners will be announced on 28th October.
