Cory pays Tribute to Tom Hutchinson 

Having announced that Tom Hutchinson will soon be joining the World-famous Black Dyke Band as principal cornet, Cory has paid tribute on social media, thanking him for his dedication and unparalleled musical contributions over the past 15 years.  
 
The multi-award-winning cornetist has been a towering presence at Cory, leading the band’s cornet section through one of the most successful periods in its history. While this marks the end of an extraordinary era, the band offers its warmest congratulations and support to Tom as he moves to the next chapter of his career.  
 
Cory’s Musical Director, Philip Harper, offered this tribute to the outgoing leader:  
“It is impossible to quantify what Tom has meant to Cory Band and to me, both as a musician and as a friend. His musicality, dedication, and incredible tenure as Principal Cornet have helped drive the band to unparalleled heights, creating memories and performances that will stay with us forever. While we are sad to see him go, we are immensely grateful for every note he has played and every moment we’ve shared. We wish him absolutely all the best for his future with Black Dyke.”  
 
Tom’s final performance with Cory Band will take place at Birmingham Town Hall on November 29th. The band encourages all supporters and admirers of Tom to join them for this special occasion.
