Youth Brass 2000 to Headline National Gala Concert
Kapitol Promotions has announced that Youth Brass 2000 will be the featured artist for the Gala Concert during the Championship Section National Final 2025 at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 11 October 2025.
The Gala Concert, taking place between the final competing band’s performance and the Results Ceremony, will offer a 45-minute showcase from “YB2K”, the current National Youth Brass Band Champions of Great Britain. They will be joined by a remarkable line-up of former members who have gone on to perform at the very top level, including: Jordan Ashman (BBC Young Musician of the Year 2022), Siobhan Edwards (Principal Tenor Horn, Black Dyke Band) and Matthew Gee (Principal Trombone, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).
Te band also boasts current players from top British bands including The Cory Band, Black Dyke, and Grimethorpe Colliery Band, as well as students from the UK’s top conservatoires, including Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music
Dr. Robert Childs, Artistic Director of Kapitol Promotions commented, “It will be a truly spectacular celebration of youth at its finest following the 19 performances of Edward Gregson’s ‘???????????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ????????????????????????????????????’ earlier in the day, and before the new National Champion Band of Great Britain is announced”.
