50 Not Out! For John Williams
Northop Silver Band made a richly deserved presentation, marking 50 years of outstanding service by Eb bass player John Williams, at the band’s recent celebration concert. The occasion was marked at a band concert held in the town, where band members past and present, as well as a packed audience, took the opportunity to show their appreciation of the dedicated bandsman.
A spokesperson from Northop commented, “It was a fantastic way to celebrate John Williams' 50 years service to Northop Silver Band. Long may his service continue! Thanks to Gavin Wyn Saynor and Chris Hardy for adding a little bit of stardust to our Concert.
“We also said goodbye to our Principal Cornet player Nerys Davies, and we thank her for her wonderful contribution to Northop Silver Band over the last 10 years. Good luck Nerys! The band would like to thank all its supporters and we look forward to seeing you in the Autumn.”
