Morgan Jones relinquishes Cory Presidency
Last weekend Cory Band had a special gathering in Norway to celebrate the incredible ten years of Morgan Jones as its President. Morgan, a Welsh TV presenter most notably known from presenting the S4C European football show, is one of the band’s biggest supporters.
Morgan has also raised thousands of pounds for the band to help cover the costs of attending numerous European Brass Band Championships. He’s done this through his sponsored cycle rides, which are truly amazing. After ten incredible years, Morgan is now moving on to a new role as vice-president, but he’s not leaving the band anytime soon.
A spokesperson for the band explained, “He’s been with us on this incredible journey, cheering us on all over the world. Not only that, but he’s also a talented brass player with a long association with the Trefor Brass Band. He’s been there to celebrate our triumphs on the contest stage and has become a dear friend to everyone in the band. He’s committed to supporting us all the way We’re so grateful for his incredible support and dedication.”
