B&R welcomes new Euph

Brighouse and Rastrick Band have recently announced the new signing of Angus Rittchie on the second euphonium chair. In a comment on social media a spokesperson for the band made the official announcement welcoming Angus to the band: “We’re delighted to announce the arrival of Angus Rittchie as our new Second Euphonium player! Originally from Glasgow, Angus has recently moved to Manchester to begin his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, and we’re thrilled to have him join us as part of the B&R family.”
Angus started out on euphonium with Kirkintilloch Youth Band before joining Croy Silver Band in 2018. In 2021, he became the Solo Euphonium player with Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass, then went on to perform at the British Open and National Finals with the Cooperation Band. Since then, he has been playing Solo Baritone during a successful period with the Leyland Band.
Having developed his talents at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Academy, Angus is currently in his first year studying at the Royal Northern College of Music.
